The Voyager Golden Record
When the black hole swallows the figure, 20 images from the Voyager Golden Record flash across the background of the hero - the message humanity sent into space in 1977, aboard the two Voyager probes. Most are images actually encoded on the record; two are photographs of the record itself (mounting it on the spacecraft, and its golden cover), used only to open and close the sequence, and marked as such below. Only images confirmed public domain enter this list; every image with a living photographer's rights was left out.
